Check out this major boo-boo on the part of U.S. News and World Report.

The theme of this month's issue of New Music Box is "Music and Politics." So, of course, just what you'd expect: Southern Utah composer (and former Springdale Mayor) Phillip Bimstein talking about chamber music as a metaphor for a city council meeting, and an interview with Orrin Hatch. Oh, yeah, and there's something about the Dixie Chicks dissing Bush in there, or something.

Mah bwain huhtth!!!!! Check out the website for the new Nova series on PBS, "The Elegant Universe." The first two episodes kept me up until 3am last night and still have my brain spinning. The series, which is surprisingly entertaining and accessible, is about a revolutionary idea in theoretical physics called string theory, otherwise known as the "theory of everything." If you think running in seven marathons is crazy (see previous post), try thinking in ten dimensions.

Okay, so you have a heart attack and want to get the old ticker back in shape. What do you do? How about running a marathon -- or seven -- in a single week?!
