Hi all. I while ago I started a little blog in which I recorded my random news-watching observations, for no other audience, I thought, than myself and maybe the stray and extremely bored googler. I've been able to maintain it consistently enough (without neglecting family, work, or dissertation--at least not any more than I would anyway), and actually gotten a large enough handful of readers (which is to say, about 37), that I'm actually not so embarrassed to tell people about it.

Just kidding. That's not mine. This is. Sort of a Mormons-in-the-news thing, with emphasis on the arts and politics. Hope you like it. If you don't, keep it to yourself.

One fun recent development: I did a little satirical conspiracy theory about how a recent film featured at Sundance was plagiarized from a very old and very tacky church movie. The director of the Sundance film read my bit, and sent me a rather nice email.
