you know, just as i was coming to grips with turning 28 next week, i stumble across deathclock.com, which bills itself as "the Internet's friendly reminder that life is slipping away." so just so you all can plan ahead, i will pass from this mortal existence on Saturday, June 5, 2055. so i have roughly 1.6 billion seconds left to live (the good folks at death clock are kind enough to furnish a countdown!)
if you haven't already seen it, it's good for a chuckle.

Doesn't this sound like something Dad might try -- except with leftover two-by-fours, an old car battery, and some aluminum foil? Of course, it would be hard to get an accurate baseline geiger counter reading in Southern Utah in the first place...

Hi all. I posted to this over at my other little blog, but I thought I'd post it here too. These are real-life personal ads for polygamists. A few of them hint at that loophole in Utah's proposed anti-gay-marriage legislation that Greg and Harold and I were talking about: for some reason, the legislature said marriage is between man and woman, but not specifically man and one woman, so if a guy and two women get married, are the women kinda married to each other?
